Ladakh — Leh, Thiksey and the Sham Valley over ten days
A minute of the high Himalaya, which is the part of India that looks least like the rest of it.
Ten days is not long for Ladakh and most of the reason is altitude. Leh sits above eleven thousand feet and the first two days are spent doing nothing on purpose. Any itinerary that skips those two days is selling you a headache.
Season matters more here than anywhere else in the country. Ask before you pick dates.
